Exoplanet HAT-P-68 b Transit

Description

I was able to observe a transit of Exoplanet HAT-P68b. It is a gas giant planet the size of Jupiter that orbits a star 659 light-years from Earth. The planet is mainly gas and is about 3/4 Jupiter's mass. The "Dip" or bowl in the light curve is the planet eclipsing some of the star that it orbits, as it passes in front of it. The large void in the data points just before the transit is when Windows thought that it should shut down all the programs that were running and perform an update, then restart. Luckily I still captured the transit. Seeing conditions were terrible last night but it worked out. The star is pretty faint at 13.8 magnitude.
